Results do not always tell the full story and this fixture was a good example. KKASC U17 came up against a strong Liverpool side and found themselves under pressure for much of the contest. However, the visitors continued to battle, creating opportunities and refusing to allow heads to drop. Several players produced encouraging individual performances and there were periods where KKASC matched their opponents. Liverpool ultimately had the greater cutting edge, but the experience gained from playing quality opposition will benefit the squad over the long term. Development remained the key theme of the day.
