Some defeats linger longer than others. This was one of them. KKASC and Warrender produced a fiercely contested encounter in which neither side managed to pull clear. Every score appeared to be answered immediately and momentum changed repeatedly throughout the evening. As the game entered the closing stages, the outcome remained impossible to predict. A single key moment eventually tipped the balance in Warrenders favour. KKASC pushed hard in search of an equaliser and created opportunities right to the end, but the hosts held on. The narrow margin made the result frustrating, yet the quality and commitment shown by both teams created a contest worthy of the occasion.
